Plan for the month’s top conferences & events
June marks a busy month for the nonprofit and social good community — the last frenetic blast of conferences before the lull of summer kicks in. Highlights include the Emerging Media Conference in Seattle (starting today), NCTech4Good, Personal Democracy Forum, North by Northeast, the National Conference on Volunteering and Service, Netroots Nation, Indie Web Camp and the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Monte Carlo Night June 29 7 PM-11PM Hyattsville, MD
Monte Carlo Night is the signature fundraising event of My Girlfriend’s House, Inc- a nonprofit organization serving at-risk teenage girls from the Washington Metropolitan region. Monte Carlo Night attracts a diverse and affluent group of more than 200 participants, drawing on the region’s business and philanthropic communities. Held this year at the Atrium at Treetops, the venue is a superb canvass on which a memorable evening will be painted.

In America there’s lot of cool cities, but in Canada there’s, like, well, Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax may be cool, but they’re so expensive. Montreal is the only city that’s affordable but also has buses and culture. Grimes
